It was built as a tribute to the founder of this beautiful punk city, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. It perhaps got its name from this statue of Maharaja and also from its location. It attracts many of the foreign tourists as well because of the fact that it was built in remembrance of the founder of the city. This circle encompasses a very huge statue of Maharaha Sawai Jai Singh II who happens to be the founder of this city. The statue is made of white marble. He was known to be an ardent lover of astrology as well. This memorial of the founder is very elegantly decorated with bright lightings and fountains with a special feature. This special feature is that they are multi colored. This is the best place to spend a quality time in the evening. The peaceful surroundings with these multi colored looks exceptionally beautiful in the evening.
